- Coherent Policy Actions for Avoiding Similar Scenarios in the Future - Central Banks, Regulators and New Power Brokers in the Financial Services Industry - Restoring Financial Stability - Drawing Major Lessons from The Crisis - What Next?
The Focus & Key Topics of the Forum were:
* The crisis outbreak and its consequences for the financial services industry * Current standpoints - Where are we now and what scenarios to expect in the near future? * Taking "Next Policy Actions" * Recapitalizing financial institutions and restoring international financial stability * Legal implications of the credit crunch - arising issues & risks * Re-establishing confidence in global financial markets * Regulators, Central Banks, Supervisors and New Power Brokers - How should they act in the future? * The importance of coordinated actions - synergy of financial institutions, regulators, governments and central banks * International financial stability - a question of confidence * A difficult task for policymakers and central banks: Maintaining price stability
Mr Aristides Vlachos, the President of the International Council of Investors represented the Council at the Forum and took active participation in its work.
